A safari jeep can normally accommodate up to six passengers. The jeep is reserved for your group and is not shared with unrelated travellers.
Yes. Children can join the safari when accompanied by a responsible adult. Child entrance-ticket rates are determined by the Department of Wildlife Conservation. Please inform us in advance if you are travelling with young children.
Pickup and drop-off are available from hotels in Udawalawe and nearby areas. Transfers from locations farther away may require an additional charge, depending on distance and vehicle availability.
We recommend comfortable light clothing, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, drinking water, and a camera or phone. Neutral-coloured clothing is usually more suitable for wildlife viewing.
Morning safaris usually begin early, while afternoon safaris begin later in the day. The exact pickup and starting time depends on your selected package, hotel location, season, and park opening hours.
Udawalawe is well known for wild elephants, but wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Animal movement depends on weather, water, season, and natural behaviour inside the park.
Safaris can usually continue during light rain. In severe weather or unsafe conditions, the trip may be delayed, rescheduled, or changed after discussion with you.
Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or change your booking. Any cancellation charge will depend on the notice given, reserved vehicles, meals, transfers, and other arrangements already made for your tour.
